Led design and development of the first website for the Computational Thinking Lab (CTL), an AI research lab at Indiana University that previously had no web presence. I directed a small team on design and content while personall owning the design system and the build, working in Astro with Keystatic as the CMS.
Beyond the pages themselves, the project centered on a reusable design system with a component library, typographic scale, and color/brand guidelines meant to keep every future page consistent without needing a designer in the loop. Content editors manage events, team profiles, and news posts through Keystatic rather than touching code, which let the lab start publishing independently after launch.
Three features were core to the build:
- An events calendar the lab uses to plan and promote talks and meetings
- A team page with member bios and social links
- A blog-style news section for announcing publications and lab updates.
Since launch, the site has become the lab's primary recruiting tool for prospective members and researchers, and the events and news sections are in active, ongoing use by the lab.
